7/6/2023 0 Comments Slay the spire dlc![]() Deckbuilding is just fun, digital or analogue. My rack is filled with so many iterations from clank over cubitos to arnak. What I consider DLC is any content (free, payed, unnoficial) that actually adds a good amount of content to the game, not like just 1 character, or 1 new place, or some events, but actually add some change in game, sure I still call a Mod DLC but. Yet I'm really hungry for Deckbuilders since the first time I played Dominion. Well, there are free DLC, where you actually need to get the content separetly but it's still free. Never tried any fancy modes, just choosing one of the chars and try to find some way to make it through alive. It's really more meditative then anything else, but still fun for me. Succeeding in roguelite games comes down to two things: learning how to overcome the odds and never, ever taking anything for granted, no matter how well. Part of the reason why I played so much StS is that it's the perfect game to play on my tablet when going to bed. IMO Monster Train is the best of them all. ![]() Quoting: scaine Quoting: const Quoting: scaineAbsolutely zero interest in the tournament stuff, but a new DLC character is welcome, although synergies between existing characters are already superb, so it'll interesting to discover how they've woven in an entirely new angle! (although I've also got one eye on Monster Train. But the excellent unlocks and ramping (but optional) handicaps keep the game fresh, all the while looking for that new synergy. The character synergies are superb, and you're MUCH more likely to find a synergy during a run than you are with StS. I "only" have 70 hours in Roguebook, but given how many of these games I've played now, to find one this good was just pure joy. So much, in fact, that I ended up going down a dark road looking for StS-like games, like Hand of Gilgamesh, DreamGate and even sank 20 hours into the excellent (but naughty, and non-native) Neoverse. I played 100 hours or so of StS and loved it. Slay the Spire might be my most played game of all time. It surpasses its own inspiration - I'd rather play this than Slay the Spire any day of the week. That comment just cost me 16 Euros. Until then, I'd highly recommend giving The Slimebound custom character a try as it is both creative and fun to play.Quoting: const Quoting: scaineAbsolutely zero interest in the tournament stuff, but a new DLC character is welcome, although synergies between existing characters are already superb, so it'll interesting to discover how they've woven in an entirely new angle! ![]() Once the developers announce just what the new character is going to be, I'll make sure to let you know. While it's highly unlikely that any of them will show up as the new official character, they will give you a pretty good idea of just how much design space there is to toy around with in Slay the Spire! That said, if you're curious about what sort of stuff you can do with Slay the Spire, as well as how unique the characters can truly be, you might want to check out the Steam Workshop. What exactly this character might be or when it's set to arrive, the developers unfortunately haven't shared just yet. There's a very, very small handful of things that could actually use some very slight adjustments in the current version of the game, outside of periodic bug fixes to keep it up to date and running smoothly, so there's no reason to do the kind of constant tweaking stuff you're talking about, anyway. ![]() However, while the details are still few and far between, I am glad to say that Mega Crit Games are working on something pretty exciting!Īs you might guess from the title alone, that something is a brand new and completely free DLC character, making it the fourth to eventually join the roster. Slay the Spire developers have been fairly busy with various ports over the past few months, so things have been fairly quiet as far as new features are concerned. Slay the Spire has four playable characters that get unlocked through progression and through fulfilling a few requirements. 14 hours ago &0183 &32 PlayStation Store welcomes the Big Games Big Deals promotion on May 10. : Slay the Spire's fourth character The Watcher is now playable in the Steam Beta. : Slay the Spire's fourth character The Watcher has now finally been released in full, and unsurprisingly, she's pretty fun to play around with! ![]()
